Maxwell’s breadth of aesthetic interests, studies of antiques, art and international design have led to a unique and comprehensive perspective to the world of design—underpinning his passion for the pursuit of a well-designed life.
He has spent his professional career working with a classical architectural firm, an AD100 interior designer, and a British yacht design studio. He has worked on projects throughout New York, Connecticut, California, Texas and the UK.
Prior to launching Maxwell Imber Design, Maxwell's years as a concept designer for Ralph Lauren Purple Label continued to refine his eye for detail and love of all things beautiful. While at Ralph Lauren, Maxwell spent his time working alongside Ralph on his lead design team creating new concepts and collections that evoked the pinnacle of a refined life. His background in fashion at RL has served as a significant influence on his approach to design. From the nuanced texture of handwoven textiles, precise form, sophisticated palette--all intricately woven with historical precedent in order to create a uniquely modern and elevated lifestyle.
Maxwell Imber has a BBA in Marketing from the Cox Business School at Southern Methodist University and a Masters in Fine & Decorative Art from Sotheby’s Institute of Art London.
